What is Radiant Human?

Born and raised in New Mexico, Christina Lonsdale (now an NYC transplant) is the author and artist behind Radiant Human- a stunning aura photography project that has amassed over 46,000 images and has developed her own translation of the connection between color, energy and identity. The prodigal daughter of an visionary painter mother and a two-time commune founding father, Lonsdale was raised on mysticism at the dawn of the digital age — formative years when science and spiritualism occupied equal bandwidth. In Radiant Human, she finds a sort of parity between these opposing faiths; a discipline that shores up the distance between New Age self-discovery and New Media self(ie)-actualization.

New York Times calls her  “the Annie Leibovitz of aura photography” and she has held residencies at the Whitney Museum of Art, Fotographiska New York, and has been profiled in Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Vogue among many other outlets.
